Manning Park Lodge Hotel (Eagle's Nest)
Manning Park Resort, British Columbia (2003-2005) Shed-a-tear-for-the-eagle-15
Manning Park Lodge is a 41 room hotel, originally built by the Province of British Columbia. This major renovation and addition project resulted in upgrading all the guest rooms, adding additional "accessible" guest rooms and washrooms, and public areas, as well as providing a new entry, lobby, front desk, conference rooms and resort office administration accommodation.

The design concept for the Manning Park Lodge is reminiscent of traditional mountain vernacular. Use of indigenous and durable materials including cedar siding, cedar decking, fir poles, exposed log beams, rock walls and local earth based accent colours are important design elements. Artwork has been incorporated into the structural detailing with animals from the area highlighted to mark the entry and main lobby.

Manning Park Resort has been acknowledged for its stewardship approach towards sustainable development. It is recognized by the Government of British Columbia as a “model ” for future green resorts  in Provincial Parks.
